You're invited to the wedding of the year!

Farmers Alley Theatre cordially invites you to the wedding of the year!  Join us for the wild musical farce, IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU at the Little Theatre on Oakland Drive, running June 9th-25th.  With an upbeat and peppy score by Barbara Anselmi and a hilarious script by Brian Hargrove, you’ll want to RSVP for these nuptials quickly – and don’t forget to bring your “plus one”!

In a world where nothing is what it seems, religions collide, Machiavellian plots are revealed, promises broken, secrets exposed, and hope springs from the most unlikely of places. Is it the latest conflict in the Middle East? No, it's just the Steinberg wedding.  The bride is Jewish.  The groom is Catholic.  Her mother is a force-of-nature, and an ex-boyfriend just dropped in to shake up the proceeding faster than you can whistle “Here Comes the Bride”. The charming, funny and original new musical IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU invites you to a wedding day you'll never forget, where anything that can go wrong does and love pops up in mysterious places.

IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU will be led directorially and musically by Kathy Mulay and Catherine A. Walker, respectively, the same team that has helmed our hit June musicals in the past like Next to Normal, The Light in the Piazza and Dogfight.  They have assembled an amazing cast of top-notch local talent and out-of-town professionals for this fast-paced and wild musical farce.  The cast stars DJ Bucciarelli, Gina Maria Chimner, Hal Hobson, Missy Karle, Rich Madelung, Michael Perlongo, Laurie Carter Rose, Steve Silver, Kianee Truvillion-Sims, Kendall VanAmburg, Zoe Vander Haar, Whitney Weiner and West Michigan favorite Ben Zylman (making his Farmers Alley Theatre debut) as the eccentric wedding planner.

IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU runs June 9th-25th at the Little Theatre on Oakland Drive.  Tickets are $35/$33 on Fri/Sat/Sun and $30/$28 on Thursdays.  Call our Box Office at (269) 343-2727 or visit our website at to make ticket reservations now.  Group, Senior and Student rates are available.
